Content? Since the reorganization of first aid courses on July 1, 2018, this course is based on the European First Aid course model. This means that two-thirds of the course is now practical, and theoretical instruction has become the exception.
- Take the right initial steps at the scene of the accident
- Wound care and bandages
- Burns
- Loss of consciousness and recovery position
- Basic Life Support through cardiac massage and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Resuscitation in children
- How to remove a helmet correctly.

Conditions for success and diploma?
The first aid course is validated through continuous assessment by the instructor. If a participant fails the course, no certificate will be issued. Upon successful completion, the participant will receive a certificate issued by the responsible minister. To obtain this certificate, participants must have attended all 16 hours of the course. Furthermore, the instructor must validate their attendance. No certificate will be issued if both of these conditions are not met.
This diploma is valid for five years.
When? Saturday 06th and Sunday 07th June 2026 from 09:00 to 18:00.
For whom? This training was open to all Zaltimbanq’ facilitators/assistants, and we still have 10 places available. We are therefore opening these places to all our students over 12 years old (and their parents) as well as to participants of the Open Training.
If you wish to participate, registration and commitment are mandatory!
With whom? with the "Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps" (CGDIS)
National Institute for Emergency Response Training (INFS)
The courses offered are taught exclusively by certified trainers, trained and appointed by INFS.

How much? €50 per person and a contribution to the potluck lunch (bring your own drinks and food to share in a friendly atmosphere).
